The mask as representation of the power of the public secret. Prepare to be bored! After reading some of anthropologist Michael Taussig’s work, I was drawn to his concepts of the face and sacrilege in art, as well as the power of the public secret (that which is generally known but is not spoken of). This work derives from those themes.

This image is fascinating to the point where I could stare at it all day and never get bored. I love it.

Can I have your permission to use this image on my website? It accompanies one of my tunes.

If not, I’ll be happy to take it off. If so, I’ll gladly add a link to your site, and put your name next to the image.
