Spirit Masked
RLC_Spirit.jpg : 640×480, 47.7 KB

Spirit Masked is my favorite, for two reasons. It was first, setting me on course for using RLC’s visage; and it became a wholly new, original image. The impetus for the composition is an interest in anthropologist Michael Taussig’s work (I won’t bore you). As for what I did, it was too involved to keep track. I’ll just say I hit near every function in my graphics app. Note: never fully rid the JPEG of artifacts.

I have no idea what any of this means. I am going to use this picture to represent the body’s failure to recognize itself in the autoimmune process.

Hi there,
I’m a visual researcher for documentaries. I have a client interested in using this image in a film they are producing (about Exorcism!). Please contact me for more details - I’d like to know the cost and availability of a high resolution version for use in this film, if you are agreeable to the idea. Thanks - Paula Sawadsky, Found Images Research, Tel: (604) 689 9244
